AUGUST 19, 2008
On Tuesday
night, we headed to Williams Grove Speedway for the Kasey Kahne Foundation
URC 360 race. In time trials our 358 sprinter ran 33rd fastest out of 51
total cars. In our heat race we started 10th and made some really good
progress to the front and finished 4th which was good enough to advance
into the feature. In the A-main we lined up 24th and finished 17th. We
missed setup, but it was a tough night of racing and the team was happy to
make the A-main.
AUGUST 22, 2008
Friday
night we raced a 305 Sprinter in Virginia at Virginia Motor Speedway for
Rick Stambaugh of New Generation Racing. We timed 7th quick and landed
ourselves in a 2nd place starting spot for the feature. From the droop of
the green we advanced to the lead for 15 laps, but the car was getting
tight and we ended up 2nd in our first race there. We were very happy with
our performance and look forward to racing there again in the future.
AUGUST 23, 2008
Saturday
night we headed back to Lincoln Speedway for one of the last 358 races of
the 2008 season. We started 10th in our heat race and finished 4th.
Advancing to the A-main we started 16th and ran hard to pick up a 9th
place finish. The car was really good and the team is getting the setup
and everything a lot closer per race. We are really excited about our
chances in the remaining races scheduled for this year.
August 1, 2008 - Kyle and the team
continue to struggle with motor problems. Kyle led the first 5 laps of his
heat race prior to the motor issues resurfacing. Kyle is planning to be back in action this weekend at Williams Grove
Speedway if the team can figure out the engine issues in time.
July
29, 2008 - Kyle will be back in action this weekend at Williams Grove
Speedway for the Diakon Adoption and Foster Care Adoption Night.
July
11, 2008 - The Pruitt Autosports 358 team made their return trip
Williams Grove but more engine issues brought and early end to this
evenings event. The engine began to smoke in the heat race and Kyle pulled
the car into the pits. The team checked over the car and fortunately the
problem was just oil blowing out of the breathers. The team decided to
call it quits for the evening and get a new breather system prior to
racing again.
July 5, 2008 - Kyle Pruitt and the Pruitt Autosports 358 team
made their second attempt at getting their season started at Lincolns
Speedway after a blown engine to start the season out at Williams Grove. The
team now has a motor that we hope is ready for the rest of the season. The
team was able to shake down the engine and fell just short of qualifying
for the feature due to no having enough gear for the new engine.
July
1, 2008 - Kyle Pruitt and the Pruitt Autosports 358 team would like
thank everyone for sticking with them through the rough start of the season.
We think we have the engine issues finally resolved. The team plans on racing
weekly in the 358s at Williams Grove and occasionally at Lincoln Speedway for
the remainder of the season..
